Tacos Los Troncos
About This Spot
Pulling up to Tacos Los Troncos, there’s a quiet charm in the air that hints at something genuinely local and heartfelt. Nestled just off Airport Road in Temple, this casual roadside spot moves at its own steady rhythm—a place where the simple act of ordering food turns into a small ritual of anticipation and friendly exchanges. The pace is unhurried yet efficient, with a keen sense of purpose behind the modest counter where familiar faces greet guests like neighbors stopping by for a quick bite.
The atmosphere here is anchored by the hum of conversations, the sizzle from the griddle, and the gentle shuffle of patrons gathering around picnic tables or in their cars savoring their finds. It’s a spot where the focus isn’t on high polish, but rather authentic flavors and a shared appreciation for honest, thoughtfully crafted Mexican street food. The sights and smells of freshly toasted tortillas, grilled meats, and the sharp brightness of lime and onion carve out a space that feels both grounded and alive.
While the menu includes a parade of classic street tacos, quesadillas, and specialty items like birria and gorditas, it’s the way these come together—with the right balance of textures and seasoning—that marks the heart of the experience. Each order arrives paired with essentials: crisp radishes, grilled onions, and tangy salsas that invite you to mix and match bites, creating a moment that’s as much about discovery as it is about savoring familiar favorites. It’s easy to feel the genuine care behind every element, from the crispy edges of a quesataco to the rich depth of a consomé served alongside a carefully crafted taco box.
At Tacos Los Troncos, the crowd reflects a genuine community vibe. Longtime visitors return on predictable evenings, drawn by that comforting blend of flavor and friendly service that replaces any need for fancy decor. The crew behind the window know their regulars and newcomers alike, adding warmth to the straightforward transaction of a food truck visit. Whether you pull up solo, with friends, or family in tow, there's a subtle invitation to slow down and ground yourself in this quiet Temple corner, where tacos are more than just a meal—they’re a shared moment of everyday joy.

Well it’s official, Google has me giving away my spots. Tacos so good they are CLOSED on Tuesdays. Hidden gem on Airport Road with their signature $26 taco box(cash only). Pictures don’t do it justice and there’s one taco missing from the pic(photographers fee)

These street tacos are crazy good. For a food truck on the side of the road, I’m thoroughly impressed. Very polite, fast, and taste great

It’s the best tacos and beans we have found. The beans are the best I have ever eaten. Along with the chips. Girls at the window are friendly and efficient. Go here every Friday night. They do accept cards now.

This is the best little Taco Truck in Bell County!! I've been going to this truck for years now and the food has always been consistent and it's really good every time!! The Jalisco Tacos are the best and the street Tacos are bomb too!
